Coaching

Whether you’re training for a 5K, 10K, marathon, ultramarathon, a multi-sport event, or simply want to pursue fitness, succeeding requires a delicate balance of many factors including training and rest, strength and flexibility. Knowing what to do, how much to do and when to do it is sometimes difficult. Running Strong was created to help take the guesswork out of training and rehabilitation.  Janet has over 18 years experience coaching runners of all ages and abilities.  Read about our coaches qualifications on the "About Our Coaches" page. 
Coaching services can be rendered "virtually" via e-mail, phone and fax or "face-to-face" if you're in our service area (Atlanta, GA). 

Coaching Options

"Virtual" coaching - first month includes initial phone consultation and full training plan with detailed instructions on specific flexibility and strength training exercises - $135 for first month, subsequent months $95.  Multiple-month discounts are available.
Face-to-Face coaching - For athletes in the Atlanta GA area, the first month includes a full, in person evaluation (up to 1 hour) as well as a detailed training plan with instructions on specific flexibility and strength training exercises - $135. Subsequent months $120 per month including one face-to-face consultation. Athlete may opt for "virtual" coaching in subsequent months ($95 per month).  Multiple month discounts are available.  Please note that initial evaluations extending beyond the 1-hour time will be billed at the normal hourly rate of $70 per hour additional time.
To get started - fill out the coaching questionnaire and e-mail coach Janet Hamilton.  Payment can be made via personal check or credit card through our secure on-line payment system hosted by PayPal (see links at the top of this page).

Phone Consultation

Clients are welcome to schedule a personal phone consultation with coach Janet Hamilton.  Consultation fees:  half hour - $35,  hourly rate - $65. Payment for phone consultation may be made via credit card or paypal account.

Gait Anaylsis

With the help of slow motion and freeze frame, many of the subtle nuances of your gait pattern can be revealed.  

How video gait analysis can help...

  • Assess the role that biomechanical influences such as excessive or late pronation may be playing in your injury pattern. 
  • Determine if the shoes you're wearing are correct for you.
  • Determine if more substantial motion control in the form of orthotic support may be what you need.

For clients who sign up for a face-to-face consultation in the Atlanta GA area, the video gait analysis is included in your first month fee.  "Virtual" clients may have a gait analysis performed for an additional fee of only $35.  

Contact Running Strong via phone or e-mail for further instructions. You'll be given a detailed "script" to follow to correctly capture the necessary elements of gait on video tape.  You'll send your video to Running Strong and will receive a detailed report within a matter of days.
